About Cancer Support & Awareness Nepal
Cancer Support & Awareness Nepal (CSAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families in Nepal. We work to provide emotional, practical, and financial assistance to those battling this disease.

CSAN's vision is to ensure that cancer is detected early in Nepal, and that patients receive the best possible treatment to achieve a cure with the least social, emotional, and financial burden.
Goals
- Support cancer patients in their treatment.
- Provide necessary facilities and assistance for cancer patients.
- Organize preventive awareness programs in the community.
- Arrange and promote cancer screening.
- Provide financial aid to economically disadvantaged patients for cancer treatment.
Activities
- Financial support for cancer patients who cannot afford treatment, in coordination with Kathmandu Cancer Center (KCC).
- Development of two modular operation theaters at KCC, including the procurement of essential equipment.
- Establishment of mammogram infrastructure for breast cancer screening.
- Implementation of OPD-based cancer screening services such as Pap smears, VIA tests, clinical breast exams, and colon cancer screening.
- Community-based cancer screening initiatives, particularly VIA tests for cervical cancer in various districts.
- Orientation and training programs for healthcare workers, school teachers, and nurses on cancer prevention and screening.
- Formation of cancer awareness volunteer teams in different districts.
- Support for palliative care and home visit follow-ups for cancer patients.
